Jay Favot is a Canadian painter from Sudbury, ON. His inspirations come from a variety of sources, including Ontario and Quebec
landscapes and cityscapes, as well as taking a fresh view of the ordinary moments of life, with both people and things.
Jay has been recognized for his artistic excellence in a number of areas. He was featured as an "Artist to Collect" In Arabella, Canadian Art, Architect and Digest Magazine (2017). He was awarded the Committee's Choice Award at the 40th Annual La Cloche Art Show for his painting "Apple Blossoms" and was the recipient of the Peg Forbes Memorial Award at the 39th Annual La Cloche Art Show for his painting "The Crack".
As well, his painting "Above Killarney" was awarded First Place People's Choice Award at the 2016 "In the Spirit of Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven" exhibition at the prestigious Perivale Gallery in Spring Bay, Ontario.
Jay is represented by Perivale Gallery and his artwork can be found in many private and corporate collections in Canada.
